Academics
Where do I start? I have taken a diverse amount of classes; through it all I had an amazing experience meeting new people and learning subjects ranging from religious studies to understanding how the mind functions. The biggest thing that I have learnt from it all is to always go into something with no expectation and pure curiosity, that way you will enjoy the learning process more! My interest in regards to a career path lies in the medical field, I am currently trying to figure out what career would suit me best.

Favourite Class: Psychology 371 & Psychology 282
Advice for a First Year Student: Never procrastinate! Personally I found the Pomadoro study method very effective - would recommend.
Hangout Spot on Campus: CCIS and in the quad!
Extracurricular
A bit more about myself is that outside of school, I love going on long walks with my family. My favourite activity is swimming, which I competed in during high school, and at the moment I am teaching myself how to skate! Despite being allergic to horses, they are my favourite animals. I also have a very fluffy cat - her name is Luna, and she is a beautiful black and white miniature panda bear. During the summer, I love going on camping trips with my family, and I always anticipate going to K-days, while in the winter, I love reading books and drinking loads of hot chocolate. During the school year I spend the majority of my time on campus studying with friends and wasting my money on exploring food options on Whyte Ave. I would have to say that my favourite time of the year is Ramadan, where I get to spend more time with family and friends and get to know more about myself and my community.
Future Aspirations: I would love to have a career in the medical field where I can practice around the world.
Favourite Holiday: My favourite time of the year is Ramadan.
Favourite Vacation: Dubai in 2016 with my family!
Favourite Movie: The How to Train Your Dragon series
Why TEP?
I was lucky enough to have been enrolled in a class with people who shared the same goal as myself, to make a difference in our community. We came together and, after extensive research on ways we could be a part of our community, we came up with the idea to partner with WIN house and call ourselves The Empowerment Project. I chose to be a part of this unique opportunity not only because it's a welcoming and accepting group but also because we are all determined to make a change.
